Our Impact:
Single Family's Credit Risk Policy team manages Freddie Mac's credit policies and develops risk management offerings by collaborating with industry leaders. We collaborate across the Freddie Mac enterprise in support of our mission which serves Americas homebuyers, homeowners, and renters by equitably providing liquidity, stability, and affordability to the housing market.
Your Impact:
  • Leading research and development of multiple complex credit policies pertaining to mortgage loan underwriting and origination.
  • Working independently and adhering to the policy development governance process and procedures
  • Advising leadership on Credit Policy areas of opportunities, credit risk exposure, and emerging risks
  • Collaborating effectively across the Mortgage Credit Risk Management Team, as well as with internal business partners and external customers, including regulators, to ensure that input from their respective area is considered and evaluated when developing credit policies
  • Developing domain expertise in credit policies that are complicated and signifying a higher credit risk
  • Presenting and articulating policy changes effectively at various internal and external forums

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of related professional experience in managing credit risk
  • Thorough knowledge with Freddie Mac Selling Guide and underwriting requirements
  • Analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate position on credit risk
  • Critical thinking skills with proven ability to work independently on high visibility projects
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus!

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $126,000 - $190,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
