About the Opportunity
B Lab U.S. & Canada invites qualified and experienced data and systems project managers and subject matter experts to submit proposals for the position of Senior Business and Systems Data Lead. This term-limited contract role lasts up to 15 months and requires expertise in managing complex data and systems projects. The Senior Lead will act as our data subject matter expert and as our Salesforce Lead, partnering with B Lab U.S. & Canada VP of Operations to support our Digital Transformation.
The Lead will be responsible for these areas:
Salesforce Administration
- Serve as our Enterprise Salesforce Admin & Subject Matter Expert, including our representative on the global working group.
- Implement any new changes, enhancements or features for our Salesforce Users
- Liaise with B Lab Global (parent org) to ingest product and feature updates for our SFDC instance.
Analytics
- Design and build our centralized business intelligence function
- Work with each function to develop and maintain function-specific reporting and analytics, including the org's marketing, product, and sales teams.
- Serve as data research and Analytics Lead for new products and offer concepts, including impact programs.
- Lead the development of database and data warehouse structure for the org in 2025.
Operations
- Develop and implement standard survey processes and customer engagement initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and optimize Salesforce processes, implement automation and workflow enhancements, and plan for long-term data systems and architecture scalability.
Anticipated Projects & Deliverables
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the Salesforce instance for the org: identify pain points, opportunities for improvement, and gaps in data integration.
- Develop a plan to streamline data collection and integration, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the organization.
- Roadmap for developing a comprehensive database and data warehouse structure in 2025. This includes recommending data migration processes and systems and the potential infrastructure costs.
Competencies and experiences that we believe are important for this role:
- 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce Administration. Salesforce Administrator and/or Salesforce Business Analyst Certification highly desired but not required.
- 3-5 years of data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence experience
- Extensive experience in designing, launching, leading, and evaluating company-wide projects and initiatives
- You have experience cleansing, managing, and reporting data at the enterprise and line-of-business levels.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- You have practical experience implementing product integrations, APIs, and SQL database/query functionality.
- Familiarity with Asana, Power B.I., Google Workspace, Slack
Interested consultants/firms are requested to submit a comprehensive proposal by Jan 5th, 2023.
Proposals should be no more than seven pages, and submitted as one single PDF file that includes:
- Capabilities statement and/or resume and cover letter highlighting relevant experience and qualifications.
- Portfolio of projects and certifications demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Budget proposal outlining estimated costs for a 12-15-month consultancy, including all associated expenses.
- A 1-page personal or firm statement that demonstrates a commitment to equity and justice and highlights alignment with B Lab U.S. & Canada's values.
- The budget for this contract role is 120,000 USD.
- A one time stipend for professional development and a seat in Coursera
- A flexible work environment with a four day work week

Hiring Process
We require the following in order to consider your application:

- Step 2: If selected, participation in a 90-minute proposal review and interview with a panel via Google Meet
- Step 3: Participate in a final 45-minute interview with a panel via Google Meet
