Job description

This is an ideal analytics job for curious people who love solving challenging business problems, driving data driven strategies, applying statistical techniques, building predictive models, interacting with C-Level executives and influencing business decisions in a fast-paced environment. Citi Retail Services (CRS) serves over 55MM customers through private label and cobranded products. This role is to lead credit card analytics for select CRS portfolios. This role entails harnessing the power of data to extract insights and drive actions to meet or exceed business goals. The individual will be responsible and accountable to drive key financial KPIs, including, but not limited to: Applications, Acquisitions, Sales, Credit Penetration Wallet Share, Revenue and Net Income. This role also requires leading our offshore team of highly talented individuals. The problem statements in this role will require an individual to work with some of the largest data assets available across any industry. The problem is cognitively challenging and will leverage regression/segmentation, big data techniques, and artificial intelligence. However, the solution itself must be elegantly simple to ensure easy communication and execution.
Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed the financial goals centered around Credit Penetration, Application, Application Efficiency, Revenue, Acquisitions and Sales
  • Develop Omnichannel Acquisition and Existing customer engagement strategies leveraging regression/segmentation, big data techniques and artificial intelligence
  • Partner with other teams within the analytics community for Acquisition, ECM, sales force and digital analytics
  • Innovate product and marketing strategies to improve Wallet Share
  • Partner across functions to provide exhaustive cost/benefit analysis to facilitate/recommend appropriate actions
  • Define success metrics for various initiatives and measure the performance vs. expectations to share with senior leaders to establish a go forward plan
  • Understand regulatory implications and develop mitigation / opportunity strategies
  • Ensure robust quality control in the analytical processes
  • Cross functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goal
  • Leverage industry best practices, navigate, and leverage internal relationships and become the key point of contact to ensure delivery and adoption
  • Identify, rebuild, influence, and execute ideas/strategies to drive profitable sales growth leveraging data, advanced tools & techniques
  • Apply best in class statistical and modeling techniques to meet end goals
  • Improve return on investment by effectively optimizing the allocated budget

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in financial services
  • Ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems
  • Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data
  • An influencer who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders
  • Intellectually curious, consistently seeking and developing new opportunities
  • Sound understanding of Product, Financials/P&L dynamics, Economy, Macro Factors, Customer Behavior & Analytical tools/approaches

Education:
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master's degree preferred
