In this Administrative Support position, you will support the Contracting, Credentialing, Quality, and Network Development Departments and assist with Center of Excellence Programs. This is an ideal setting to demonstrate your exemplary customer service skills in working with physician offices or hospitals. You will be expected to meet time-sensitive deadlines, multi-task in a rapidly changing environment, and professionally handle confidential and sensitive information. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, distributing, maintaining, and following up on provider contracting documents.
- Assist with the Company’s Center of Excellence Programs, including member education, answering and following up with helpline calls, enrollment, documentation, account resolution, and reporting.
- Assist in database entry of physician credentialing, contracting, and demographic information.
- Provide claims account resolution support.
- Field and manage client support calls.
- Maintain contract, provider, and payer files, including labeling, filing, maintaining paper copies, and indexing and scanning documents for electronic storage.
- Assist in the upkeep of the Department’s provider demographic information
- Provide support with the Company’s new business initiatives, process, and growth strategies, including preparation of presentations, participating in presentations, taking and distributing accurate meeting notes/minutes, and monitoring/reporting the status of initiatives.
- Assist with Credentialing activities, including maintenance of files, processing documents, and audits
- Assist with Management and Department ad hoc projects.
- Maintain a working knowledge and application of computer directories, folders, and worksheets for filing and storing company data.
- Assist with preparing and distributing reports and formal and informal correspondence.
- Collaborate with other departments that require contract and provider information to ensure efficient workflow processes.
- Maintain an orderly environment that facilitates access to supplies, manuals, and other resource information.
- Assist with inventory, monitoring, and ordering supplies for the department.
- Filing, faxing, scanning (including use of document imaging system).
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Location: Remote Hybrid from our Houston Office
Required Experience / Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a hospital or provider office setting
- 1 year of experience in claims account resolution
- Any experience with managed care contracting and physician credentialing is helpful but not required
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Prior experience exercising sound judgment in planning and accomplishing goals
- Ability to maintain a high level of accountability, productivity, and efficiency standards while meeting competing deadlines
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Occasional travel around Texas may be required
