The purpose of this job is to operate under the guidance of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager in the day-to-day activities of the Commercial Real Estate Department, while developing/building the skills necessary to progress as a Portfolio Manager. Other purposes are to assist in portfolio management, the preparation of loan packages, learning to monitor loan covenants compliance, exception reporting, clearing exceptions, loan draws, etc. and to conduct special projects as required.

Responsibilities
- Time management
- Development of prospect list
- Work with Commercial Real Estate personnel on a day-to-day basis to continue learning the fundamentals of loan portfolio management, i.e. loan underwriting, risk analysis, identification of risk rate, packaging and presentation, portfolio management, renewal process, with oversight from an experienced Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager
- Continue learning and assisting with monitoring loan covenant compliance, exceptions and past dues, and loan draws/advances
- Make joint calls with the Commercial Real Estate Relationship Managers, and/or Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Managers to gather information for loan presentation, participates in follow-up calls as needed
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years banking experience or equivalence in one or a combination of the following areas:
- Management Development Program
- Relationship Manager
- Credit Analysis
- Retail Banking
