As a CPU Core Program Manager, you will have a significant and visible role in developing and executing AMD’s next-generation CPU Core Designs. You will work in the center of a world-class engineering team with a sustained track record of success. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the execution of the project(s) within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. As the Program Manager, you will work with the CPU Core Unit Teams and Disciplines to ensure the effective and efficient execution of AMD’s CPU Core programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, plan, and track engineering program execution based on senior technical guidance.
- Interface with all CPU Core Design disciplines, including Leadership, Architecture/Logic Design, Performance, Physical Design, Design Verification, DFT, and Post-Silicon Validation/Debug.
- Craft, lead, and continually improve program-level processes and methodologies.
- Identify and manage program dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and customers.
- Align and manage program deliverables.
- Automate and track metrics and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the operation.
- Synchronize team communications and reviews with AMD senior and executive management and customers.
- Provide miscellaneous program leadership and support as required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Solid understanding of the CPU Core design lifecycle.
- Program management experience with a large Semiconductor Design team.
- Semiconductor design experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Architecture and Logic design
- Design Verification
- Performance Analysis and Correlation
- Implementation/Physical Design
- Post Silicon Validation/Debug
- Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams with horizontal or matrix leadership models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle all levels of interaction, including executive-level.
- Demonstrated organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
- Programming knowledge and experience with Java, JavaScript, Go, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
- Large data management and analytics. Setting up, using, and maintaining databases
- Front-end or back-end web development.
- CPU Program Management Experience .
- CPU Core Design Experience.
- Experience using and managing team collaboration tools such as TWiki, Confluence, JIRA, Slack, etc.
- Skilled with Microsoft Tools: Office (esp. Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Project, Teams, etc.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.
- PMP Certification is a plus but not required.
