JOB PURPOSE:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day duties related to loading pricing, cost and contract analysis and issue resolution within our Special Sales department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Perform competitor analysis on similar products and services.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Ability to filter and “clean” data by utilizing reports.
- Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts
of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly pricing, reporting and contract analysis.
- Research pricing discrepancies, provide accurate resolutions and load pricing accurately.
- Run cost analysis reporting.
- Able to reset/adjust priorities as the business demands.
- Managing day-to-day tasks while carrying projects to successful completion.
- Work independently in a deadline driven environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Enthusiastic and proactive team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong independent analytic and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in the basic features of all Microsoft Office products.
- Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Excel: lookup formulas and pivot tables (a plus).
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and deliver on expectations.
- Someone who can handle criticism and constructive feedback and provide it when needed.
