Overview:
Perform and supervise all accounting work related to Trumark corporate office and review of divisional accounting results and performance. Assist with preparation and review of monthly financial reports, oversee company wide accounts payable, cash and bank accounts and payroll function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee corporate accounting department and employees, including accounting function, journal entries, cash accounts and corporate reporting.
- Excellent management and communication skills.
- Responsible for all bank account reconciliations and cash activity reporting, including the corporate credit card program.
- Process and manage online banking activity including book transfers, wires, account and user administration.
- Process documents required to open or close bank accounts.
- Obtain Cashier’s Checks from the bank as needed.
- Process and oversee ACH set-up and payments for suppliers that enroll in electronic funds transfer (EFT).
- Knowledge of NewStar, NewStar Sales, InformXL or ability to learn new systems.
- Coordination with divisions on accounting month-end close process and reporting.
- Review divisional financial statements and monthly reporting package.
- Assist with corporate audit and J-Sox requests documenting compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Assist/backup with Accounts Payable department, which covers the entire Company, including check runs and ACH payments for corporate and divisions.
- Prepare and review loan, equity, or bank draws as well as reconciling loan balances monthly.
- Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for the entire organization including commission calculations and related accounting through ADP Workforce Now.
- Key contributor in annual overhead budgeting process including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to assist with tracking and strategic analysis by the executive team.
- Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop best practices.
