A Corporate Controller is a key financial executive in a company responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities and reporting of the organization. This role involves a combination of financial management, accounting, and regulatory compliance responsibilities.
1. **Financial Reporting:**
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Communicate financial results to senior management, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
2. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
- Develop and manage the company's budgeting process.
- Provide financial forecasts and projections to assist in strategic decision-making.
3. **Internal Controls:**
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
4. **Tax Compliance:**
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.
5. **Audit Management:**
- Coordinate and manage external audits conducted by independent auditors.
- Address audit findings and implement recommendations for improvement.
6. **Treasury and Cash Management:**
- Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- Oversee banking relationships and financial investments.
7. **Financial Analysis:**
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks to the company's financial health.
8. **Compliance and Risk Management:**
- Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
- Identify and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Must have healthcare experience and/or a larger business with excellent controls and excellent finance.
This role requires a strong background in accounting, finance, and leadership skills.
