Job Summary / Basic Function
Position located in our Erie, PA office.
The Coordinator of High Impact Prevention is responsible for HIV/AIDS educational interventions conducted with high-risk individuals in the clients' neighborhoods or other areas where such clients typically congregate. Educational interventions include risk-reduction counseling, making plans for individual behavior change, ongoing appraisals of behavior and skill building activities. Also provides HIV testing and comprehensive risk reduction services to individuals who are at high risk for acquiring HIV and struggle with issues such as substance abuse, physical and mental health and social and cultural factors.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary
Bachelor's degree in a human services field or 3 years of experience with those infected with HIV/AIDS. Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Ryan White grant program Knowledge of HIV and prevention.At least 3 years of experience providing educational messages to at-risk populations including LGBTQ+, homeless, refugees and youth. Trained Counselor for HIV and HCV. Understanding and previous experience with working with a diverse segment of the general population.
