The Role:
This hybrid role offers flexibility, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, unless special events necessitate your presence in the corporate office or at a site on those days. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, you will work from our corporate office in Robinson Plaza and one of our local sites in Tarentum, PA, New Castle, PA, and/or East Canton, OH, providing necessary support and regular touchpoints to our workforce as required. Occasional travel to non-local sites will be on an as-needed basis and will not be routine.
This role is integral to our benefits administration, with a primary focus on administering and providing timely advice on all company benefit programs in accordance with provider contracts, company policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements, and applicable legislation. You will support the Vice President of Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits Manager, Corporate HR Generalist, and Regional HR Managers on employee benefit-related matters and transactions. Additionally, you will assist the Payroll & Benefits Manager in leading the company benefit plan renewal process, open enrollment projects, benefits audits, 401k administration, FML, and benefits communications. This position thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where innovative ideas are encouraged, and meticulous attention to detail is essential. You will collaborate with and support all Resco employees across departments and sites, reporting to the Payroll & Benefits Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to employees on eligibility and other benefit-related matters within acceptable timeframes.
- Process enrollment, status changes, and separation information with benefits providers accurately and within deadlines.
- Process and reconcile benefit carrier payments monthly.
- Conduct onboarding sessions with new hires to explain benefits offerings and enrollment.
- Support benefit program efforts and communicate related events.
- Manage leaves and ensure compliance with COBRA, FMLA, ADAA, ACA, and other applicable laws.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to maintain process documentation for all leave types.
- Assist employees in submitting disability claim forms.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management.
- Enhance communication regarding company benefits plans for all employees.
- Coordinate employee engagement events with the HR team.
- Provide or request data analytics related to benefits.
- Prepare and deliver weekly reports on employee 401K elections and loan payments.
- Ensure accurate and efficient administration of benefit plans while adhering to regulatory, corporate, and collective bargaining agreement deadlines.
- Interpret collective bargaining agreements regarding benefits administration.
- Promote a positive work environment aligned with Resco’s core values.
- Maintain employee information in HRIS system for ACA filing.
- Audit benefit deductions and remittances.
- Assist in vendor management and dependent audits.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers and liaise with insurance carriers and brokers.
- Resolve escalated employee issues with insurers.
- Assist in drafting written employee communications and presentations.
- Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of company benefits.
- Maintain benefit information in HRIS.
We require you to have:
- Minimum 1 year of benefits administration experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables/VLOOKUP).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
We prefer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years working with union and non-union benefit plans in heavy industrial or unionized manufacturing settings.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting collective bargaining agreements related to benefits.
- Benefits Certification (CEB) certified employee benefits specialist is highly preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
