What you will be doing:
· Model systems and sub-system dynamics and create robust controls designs
· Design and develop algorithms
· Make high level trade-offs to optimize system architecture
· Translate vehicle level requirement, objective and subjective, into system requirements
· Generate subsystem and component allocations to meet system level requirements
· Improve and rectify issues with the vehicle control systems
· Develop next generation vehicle control systems
· Develop Algorithms for safe operation and protection of drive system (OHP, OLP etc)
· Develop diagnostics and protection mechanisms
· Develop requirements for system components (Position sensor, current sensor etc)
· Production Support:
· Develop new control algorithms as needed
· Perform stability analysis to ensure various operating modes of the vehicle
· Work with customers to ensure stable and safe system operation
· Help in identifying solutions to the problems encountered
· Pursuits / Production:
· Support new programs control needs
· Work with MDK for integrating the System level Algorithms
· Work under the direction of a Senior Engineer
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
· Masters or PhD in Engineering with Controls is required
· Good basics in Power Electronics, Electric Machines and Drive Control
· Strong computer skill:
· Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word is required
· Strong Matlab/Simulink skills are required
· Knowledge of VBA, C Compiler is preferred
· Ability to model systems and sub-system dynamics and create robust control designs
· Ability to design and develop algorithms
· Expertise with Vehicle Dynamics and modeling
