Gather technical requirements, perform algorithm-based design, and develop controls strategy and diagnostics for GM conventional ICE passenger vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) (passenger car, truck and sport utility vehicle) embedded Electronic Control Units (ECU) including Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM), in MATLAB, Simulink, and Embedded C programming languages. Perform post processing of Controller Area Network (CAN)-based serial data using Embedded C language. Perform embedded ECU testing on test bench and in vehicle, using MATLAB, Simulink based Hardware in the Loop (HIL), ETAS INCA, Vehicle Spy, Vector CANape, and Vector CANoe tools and Lauterbach hardware to verify functionality at Function, Controller and System levels prior to production release. Perform peer reviews and unit level Model in the Loop (MIL) testing using Ring Behavioral Testing Tool (RiBeTT), CppUTest for multiple Condition Coverage (MCC) and Modified Condition/Decision Coverage (MCDC) to reduce rework requests and achieve zero software defects.
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Specialist, or related. Must also have experience with: performing algorithm-based design, and developing controls strategy and diagnostics for engine or vehicle embedded Electronic Control Units (ECU) including Engine Control Module (ECM), in MATLAB, Simulink, and Embedded C programming languages.
