Company and technology
GEKOT Robotics: www.gekotinc.com
GEKOT Robotics develops Active Safety technology for light vehicles such as bikes, scooters, and golf carts. Once our technology is integrated onto a host vehicle, the following features are provided:
- Front hazard detection
- Blind spot monitoring
- Reckless riding monitor
- Ground terrain detection (for compliance with area-specific usage rules)
- Fall/accident detection
- Tamper and theft monitoring
- Event data logging
To this end, GEKOT has developed prototypes of our solutions set and we are now preparing for commercialization. Integrating our tech solution into target host vehicles is the next step here. To this end, GEKOT seeks an engineer to support these vehicle integration efforts.
Expected scope of work
Integrate GEKOT technology into commercially available light vehicles. This includes:
- Integrate GEKOT’s hardware into provided host vehicles (bike, golf cart, scooter), and develop necessary electrical and mechanical interfaces for each application.
- Develop and manufacture interface components like wire harnesses, mounts, and enclosures, in close collaboration with GEKOT’s suppliers.
- Test GEKOT’s hardware on bench in close collaboration with GEKOT hardware team.
- Validate product features in close collaboration with suppliers and GEKOT’s software development team.
- Provide weekly status reports to GEKOT leadership.
Develop and execute a product validation plan. This includes:
- Develop validation criteria for all product requirements in terms of features, safety, integration and customer experience.
- Develop a test plan including: cost, schedule, materials, personnel, and data collection needs.
- Define testing environments and obtain any needed permissions/permits.
- Recruit and train validation team.
- Execute test plan. Collect and deliver test data in collaboration with GEKOT’s data science team.
- Iterate plan as necessary.
- Perform system calibrations as appropriate for “best” feature functionality across various vehicle configurations.
- Propose product correction/improvements as appropriate.
- Provide weekly status reports to GEKOT leadership.
