Job Description
As a Systems Automated Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Controls Engineering and programming controls for conveyor systems using 24VDC/120VAC control circuits. Candidates will be experienced in areas described below and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Guidance and standards will be provided by our engineering department.
Job Duties:
· In office and onsite programming PLCs and integrating HMI’s for various conveyor projects
· Ladder logic programming/debugging utilizing Allen Bradley PLCs
· Programming/configuring Rockwell VFD’s
· Programming HMI applications utilizing Ignition
· Testing, commissioning and start-up of systems at sites across the US
· Troubleshooting remotely with customers to get their system back up and running when issues arise
· Typical travel of 25% but more may be required with being out of town for up to a month at a time for commissioning
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or relevant work experience
· Programming & debugging ladder logic with Allen Bradley PLCs: 2 years
· Troubleshooting control system devices including PLCs, 480v Motors/VFDs & 24v Devices: 2 years
· Configuring & troubleshooting devices on an ethernet network: 2 years
· Ability to read and accurately interpret electrical schematics: 2 years
· Works well as an individual and as part of a team
· US work authorization
Beneficial Experience:
· Working knowledge of conveyor automation with TGW, Hytrol, Bastian, etc
· Configuration & communication with Keyence Barcode Scanners
· HMI development with Inductive Automation’s Ignition Perspective
