Controls Engineer

Job Description

Tamaki Control is looking for an independently motivated Controls Engineer with strong Allen-Bradley PLC skills and experience to join our team of 80+ engineers. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for leading projects using AllenBradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to assess and propose automated solutions
• Assume project lead role to execute defined scope of work to customer satisfaction
• Design and Program Control Strategies for Process Control Systems
• Write functional descriptions
• Maintain customer relationships and perform technical reviews and functional training
• Training and Mentoring Jr Engineers

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Ability to adapt to changing environment and handle multiple priorities
• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Experience with ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet DLR, Powerflex Drives.
• Experience with a SCADA Platform
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• 4+ years' experience in systems integration, PLC + SCADA systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Ignition SCADA
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
• Experience with Industrial Networks
• Experience with Linux
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with Git

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• Mostly Monday to Friday day shift.
• Our customers run manufacturing facilities 24/7; therefore, some projects will be scheduled around production and may require this position to work occasional nights and weekends.
• Occasional after hours support calls to support site maintenance teams.

Work Location:

· Factory location is near Clovis, New Mexico

· Preference for Onsite at the factory 5 days/wk.
