Job Description
We have a prime opportunity available for an expert in automated industrial control equipment. This opening is for a Controls Engineer with a newly built frac and sand plant in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Relocation assistance is available. The Gig:
- Design, plan, install and maintain industrial control equipment and instrumentation such as loop controls, variable frequency drives, control panels and load balancing
- Work closely with the maintenance team and assist in routine planned maintenance and emergency repairs of plant equipment including conveyors, bucket elevators, and washing/drying equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, PLC’s and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, safety circuits
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electric motors and equipment (120, 240 and 480V)
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled, and document finished work
- Contact vendors, of replacement parts on hand for all equipment
Qualifications:
- Strong machine electrical background. Hardwired controls, digital and analog I/O knowledge and the ability to read electrical schematics and P&ID’s
- Proven PLC Programming experience - Allen Bradley RSLogix and Studio 5000 a must, with networking (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.) experience desired. PLC background requires writing, debugging, developing, and troubleshooting PLC’s.
- Proven HMI Programming experience – Wonderware InTouch and Historian a must, with System Platform experience desired. HMI background requires developing, debugging and troubleshooting HMI’s
- Computer skills - Windows and server environment, load and configure various software on servers and PC’s
- Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout, MSHA, NFPA 70E, and proper use of PPE
- Thorough understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Compensation:
- $135,000 - $145,000/year to start
- Relocation assistance up to $10,000

Shifts:
- Days, full time hours (Monday to Friday).
- Must be available to work off shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
