As the Controller at Intelligent Video Solutions, you will lead all accounting operations, provide leadership to the accounting team, and oversee internal and external financial reporting and compliance. In this hands-on role, you will complete the monthly financial closing process and direct all accounting functions including general accounting, revenue accounting, billing and collections, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management and provide leadership in the areas of taxation and statutory reporting.

To excel as our Controller, you must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail to execute hands-on accounting tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Management of the month-end and year-end close processes and preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Management of cash flow, and maintenance of relationships with relevant credit, financial, and banking institutions.
• Oversight of all corporate and multi-state sales tax filing and reporting, and payroll and tax filings in US and Canada.
• Management of A/P and A/R process. Ensure timely collection of payments.
• Ensure all accounting journal entries are made when goods/services are provided based on accrual method.
• Oversight of various administrative functions including corporate credit card and expense management program, and vendor credentialing.
• Secure all corporate insurance policies and review annually to ensure that IVS has the appropriate coverage and protections.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Provide backup to payroll process.
• Lead and direct the daily workflow of the department and supervise department personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in financial management and controls, managing banking relationships software and tools such as QuickBooks and Excel is essential. Being customer-centric and agile in your approach to financial strategies will be key. Your integrity and forward-thinking mindset will drive you to make sound financial decisions that benefit the company in the long run. Requires 7+ years experience in an Accounting function and sound knowledge of GAAP standards, accrual based accounting and revenue recognition. CPA preferred.
