Responsibilities include:
- Visually inspecting processed, machined, and/or assembled parts for defects, burrs, slugs, rollover, etc.
- Ensures all proper inspection devices, prints, routings, and checklists are at the work centers for the jobs being run
- Use precision measuring instruments and complex testing equipment
- Work with various drawings, blueprints, and part specifications to ensure parts are within tolerance
- Set up jobs and green tag them for production
- Perform random sampling inspections
- Document/complete inspection reports
- Checking incoming materials and maintaining files
- Gauge calibration
- 1-year of previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing setting - Machine Shop strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and part specifications
- Experience working with a variety of inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, Veneers, height gauges, go/no-go gauges
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ITAR, and F.O.D requirements preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Base pay will vary based on experience and will range between $15- $20/hr.
- Training on 1st shift ( 3-12 months) 5 AM – 3 PM (Monday – Friday) & 5 AM – 10 AM on Saturdays – will move to 2nd shift after training 3 PM - 1 AM (Monday - Friday) and a mid-shift on Saturday 10 AM - 3 PM
- Working mandatory 55-hour work weeks (41-48 hours earns time and a half, 49+ double time)
