Controls Engineer Technologist

Controls Engineer Technologist (Detroit, MI) Provide support for the upkeep and improvement of all automation production equipment.

• Assist with Machine Breakdowns when maintenance cannot fix in timely manner.
• Support development and upgrades to Vision System to World Class Standards.
• Support development of tools for useful data flow for manufacturing purposes, includes Machine data/Automated Text messages/Reporting Services/ETC.
• Utilize Allen Bradley knowledge to program and update PLCs (Programming Logic Control).
• Program and update HMI (Human Machine Interface).
• Trouble-shoot and reset robots and cobots.
• Make programming changes in the event of design changes to robots/cobots.
• Utilize experience with electrical design, understanding and reading prints, working with OEM’s to ensure quality design standards.

Minimum of an associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field and 5 years of related experience as a Controls Technician, Programmer - Robotics, Controls Integrator or related required. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs and vision systems required.
