We have an immediate need for a Control Room Operator to support the Center Operations Building Automation (COBA) at the Marshall Space Flight Center’s (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL.
Overview
The Center Operations Building Automation (COBA) ensures the successful operation, maintenance, optimization, and development of Marshall Space Flight Center’s (MSFC) Utility Control System (UCS). UCS refers to the Center’s Building Automation System (BAS) that provides the automated centralized control and monitoring of the Center's Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), lighting, safety, and other systems.
Duties:
The Control Room provides surveillance of all UCS connected points 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The Personnel to shall monitor, analyze, and review all UCS connected equipment and comfort zone parameters and initiate trouble calls (TC) by means of IBM Maximo or provided user interface in accordance with all sections of this PWS.
The Personnel shall maintain a Daily Events Log (DEL).
All significant events and other requested information shall be entered in the DEL.
Additional and more detailed event reporting shall be included for NASA Critical Infracture (NCI) facilities.
The Government can direct the Contractor to include additional events in the DEL. Significant events includes and managed:
1. Unscheduled power/utility outages
2. Critical and non-critical system failures
3. Leaks of any kind or nature
4. Environmental hazards (spills, releases, emergencies)
5. Injuries or accidents
6. Safety issues
7. Alarms
8. Unusual odors reported in buildings
9. Security issues
10. Ongoing work
11. Any impact on a facility which has the potential to affect work performed in the area
12. Equipment running when unauthorized – “On an In Alarm” report results
13. Status of the Centralized Chilled Water Plant (CCWP) systems
14. Status of the deionized water facility
15. Scheduled outages of any kind (electrical, steam, water, asbestos, etc.)
16. Extreme weather data
Education:
BS degree in Engineering - Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical required. Sufficient work experience may be substituted.
Required Skills:
Strong communication and customer service skills to be able to interpret customer desires and preferences, and to serve as intermediaries between the customers and construction engineers.
Technical skills to troubleshoot design installations problems and the math skills to manage projects. Must have the ability to work with MicroStation, EPRO or AutoCAD software to design system schematics.
Comfortable with HVAC systems.
Ability to compile reports, analyze data and be proficient in all Microsoft tools to ensure capable analysis of RCA (Root cause analysis).
Experience with Tridium Automation Solutions
