Control Room Operators
Pay Range: $23 per hour, based upon experience
Peak Renewables is a manufacturer of biomass pellets who are constructing a new facility in Dothan Alabama. Wood pellets have become a popular choice as a green and lower cost alternative to fossil fuels like coal. In countries with national policies to decrease GHG emissions, wood pellets have become an economical substitute for coal.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Operation of the pellet plant
- Equipment adjustments and some maintenance duties
- Data entry and record keeping
- General plant clean up
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior wood pellet experience an asset
Shifts / Work Conditions
- Available to work on a 12 hour rotating shift basis (holidays, weekends, nights)
- Comfortable working in adverse conditions (warm, cold, inside, outside)
