This position will have hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need. Currently this position is required to report to the business address listed on a weekly basis.

The purpose of the Contract Invoicing and Financial Specialist position is to ensure efficient management of financial activities within FAMLI Operational Shared Services in close collaboration with the Contract Manager. This role is the oversight of invoices, payments, and Financial processes, all in strict adherence to the, budgetary and procurement rules and requirements. Working in collaboration with the Contract Manager, this position takes a lead role in maintaining financial transparency and compliance for tracking, reporting and ensuring encumbered funds are allocated, invoiced, tracked and documented. It involves meticulous tracking and record-keeping of all financial transactions related to invoices and payments for contracts, licenses and subscriptions that support FAMLI's operations, while generating reports and forecasts to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making and resource allocation. By doing so, this collaborative effort ensures seamless contract compliance, preserves uninterrupted service delivery across the Division, and safeguards the Divisions financial integrity related to encumbered funds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Substitutions:Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment to include: Business or Accounting.
AND
Two years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position to include: Contract related invoicing to include accounts payable/receivable, contract management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • State of Colorado contract management experience.
  • Contract related Invoicing and payments experience.
  • Performing duties similar to those assigned to the position as a classified State of Colorado employee.
Competencies:
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail, especially within the framework of government processes.
  • Proficiency in processing while adhering to CDLE, PCS and Finance standards
  • Effective communication skills tailored for executive stakeholders, government communications, and reporting
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities, emphasizing the importance of relationships.
  • Skilled in utilizing government-specific financial and accounting applications , including those specific to state agencies.
