BASIC PURPOSE: The Contract and Compliance Intern will provide administrative support for all Contract and Compliance initiatives for Trillium grants, sales, construction, and operations groups. This person will also help manage compliance with all city, state, federal contracts, and programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The working hours are full-time (40 hours per week) Monday-Friday. We are looking for someone immediately available to start.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and city disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) program requirements.
- Maintain applicable reporting (construction and operations phase) throughout the term of awarded contracts.
- Review public works contracts during the bidding process for DBE and certified payroll requirements.
- Convey contract labor requirements to corporate payroll to during construction and service contract periods to ensure internal prevailing wage compliance.
- Review and communicate labor requirements to our general contractors and subs during construction.
- Provides applicable reporting (labor, DBE, etc) to project managers.
- Work with Project Managers to provide lien releases on project close out reporting.
- Provide administrative support to Sales and Construction team as needed.
- Handle meeting logistics, including preparing agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, and preparing materials as needed.
- Act as backup to the Grants & Proposal Specialist, who plays a key role in proposal development including collection and organization of project data, filling out the proposal documents, dissemination of proposal materials to team members, maintaining boilerplate content, and proposal schedule and action item maintenance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree, master’s program, or recent college graduate
Experience:
- 1-2 years of compliance experience in a related role is a plus
- 1-2 years of prior knowledge and application of state and federal labor laws is a plus
- General knowledge of public works contracting is a plus

- Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Access
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management and organization skills, keen attention to detail, ability to learn new software applications and computer programs.

- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
