Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
We are seeking a Contract Administrator - Level 2 or 3 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Launch & Missile Systems Division. The successful candidate will be report to Contracts Administration Leadership and will have responsibility for the administration and oversight of contractual obligations and compliance.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering, extending, negotiating and terminating standard and nonstandard contracts. They will manage internal work order processes and assist with the tracking of proposals and re-baseline efforts of work order efforts.
Contracts Administrators are responsible for the administration and oversight of contractual obligations and compliance. They administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts. They also conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration in accordance with company policies, legal requirements.
This position will be based out of our office in Promontory, UT and will have potential for a hybrid work schedule.
Primary Job Duties:

  • Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of professional experience, or Master's Degree and 1+ year of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security clearance

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of professional experience, or Master's Degree and 4+ years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications for Level 2 and 3:
  • Experience with multiple contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee)
  • Experience with incentive fee and award fee contract types (Fixed Price Incentive Fee, Cost Plus Award Fee and Cost Plus Incentive Fee)
  • Contract Management Certification (Certified Professional Contract Manager, Certified Commercial Contract Manager, Certified Federal Contract Manager, Certified Contract Management Associate)

Salary Range: $60,600.00 - $90,800.00Salary Range 2: $74,600.00 - $111,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
