The Position:

GameChanger's Foundations Team enables GameChanger engineers to deliver great products on a secure, stable, and scalable platform.  The foundation team is responsible for managing our AWS environment and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring optimal observability. This team plays a pivotal role in leading projects that enhance GameChanger’s developer productivity. Additionally, they contribute significantly to our cloud infrastructure and application security expertise. The team collaborates closely with product and data teams to deliver top-tier solutions that align with our strategic goals. This empowered team works collaboratively with other platform and software engineering teams and engineering leaders to gather feedback, review designs, and proactively improve the foundation that engineering builds upon.

We’re looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our experienced team of DevOps and Security engineers.  As a DevSecOps Engineer, your responsibility will be to implement industry-best practices in our build and deployment processes, as well as in our infrastructure and application code management. You will play a crucial role in empowering our product development teams, ensuring they have the tools and environment necessary for efficient and secure product creation. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to platform development and application security across the organization as we grow our systems, teams, and processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle requests such as identity and access management, third party tool integration, modifications to cloud security groups, DNS and other cloud infrastructure security and access requests

• Design and build infrastructure as code (IaC) components that drive the ability for engineering teams to rapidly deploy new infrastructure and software in an AWS environment in a scalable and secure way.

• Develop and maintain automated security tools and processes. Focus on CI/CD pipeline security to ensure our applications and infrastructure are secure and developers receive timely feedback.

• Analyze security vulnerabilities across code, tools, and infrastructure. Implement resolutions and/or work with various engineering teams to prevent and resolve vulnerabilities. 

• Implement changes in CI/CD pipelines to speed up safe delivery and improve developer ergonomics of build, test, and deploy systems to allow engineers to quickly receive feedback on their changes. 

• Collaborate with other DevOps/Security Engineers and IT to implement projects - E.g., integrating new tools, improving deployments, upgrading dependencies and infrastructure, improving our load test environment, improving scalability and resiliency of cloud-deployed applications, and automating processes.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience to have developed software engineering fundamentals.  

• 1-3 years of experience in a Cyber Security, DevOps, SecOps, or DevSecOps role.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python or Bash) and working experience with infrastructure as code tools (such as Terraform).

• Experience with CI/CD tools (such as Github Actions)

• Understanding of security principles, practices, and tools. Experience with using and integrating security monitoring tools and vulnerability scanners.

• Experienced with modern cloud infrastructure services, concepts and tools, such as containerization, distributed systems, infrastructure as code, and serverless computing, preferably in AWS

• Experienced working within DevOps, GitOps, and/or Agile methodologies.

• Industry certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, AWS Certified Security, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.

The target salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $175,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.

Compensation Range: $125K - $175K
