Squires Construction is a growing commercial general contractor with over 40 years in the Salt Lake and surrounding areas. We are currently looking to fill a Project Engineer role in our Salt Lake City Office. We are looking for a self motivated individual who is detail oriented and comfortable working both independently and with the team to drive tasks to completion. We are a full sized commercial contractor specializing in commercial, multifamily, industrial and TI projects throughout the Wasatch front.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling inspections and coordinating with superintendent
- Attend weekly OAC meetings and record meeting minutes and follow up on assigned tasks
- Process and manage processes for RFIs, Subcontracts, Change Orders, Submittals
- Manage document control plans and specifications
- Procurement activities
- Assist Project manager on daily basis
- Assist Estimator with take off and budgeting
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in commercial construction (multifamily experience is preferred)
- Communication, organization planning and teamwork are key to this position
- Strong math, computer, excel, Microsoft, Adobe needed
- Planswift, Redteam, Procore, bluebeam, cad or revit, are a plus
- Degree in construction management plus
