About the Position: 

The Continuous Improvement and Quality Technician (CIQT) will perform quality activities to support testing and failure analysis of manufactured products, parts and returned material. They will provide quality support to appropriate groups: engineering, manufacturing, quality and design assurance, system/services, incoming/line/final inspection, and post market, etc; Develop, apply, monitor, measure, documents, improve, and communicate quality methodologies from product development through end of life of a product and will support the implementation of best practice processes, techniques, and Continuous Improvement methods.

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • From team production plan, manage personal workload ensuring all milestones are achieved
  • Operate within the Quality policy and procedures as defined in the quality system
  • Maintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities
  • Cleanroom support related to logistics, Inspection, follow up on special products. 
  • Personally, demonstrates highest standards of workmanship
  • Using agreed measures, monitor and report on existing processes, indicating the need for corrective action as required
  • Possess good organization skills and able to multitask 
  • Perform lab maintenance and ensure equipment is calibrated
  • Perform troubleshooting electronics circuits or mechanical failures to find root cause.
  • Train to all documents and procedures related to the job in a timely manner
  • Assist in developing and qualifying test methods, data sheets, test fixtures, and testing equipment
  • Assist Quality Engineers, MEs and NPI Engineers as needed to initiate, investigate, and assist in generation and completion of NCMRs/CARs/MRRs
  • Perform Product Evaluation Review of documents (DHR, MRB, VR, MRR, SRO, and other records)
  • Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change Notices
     


About the Candidate: 

The right candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a combination of education and/or experience. Some College or relevant technical training required.  You will be able to Identify areas of Improvement and participate in Continuous Improvement projects, use lab equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Microscopes, custom test fixtures gauges, etc.), and put in place monitoring processes and makes appropriate adjustments when progress is not as planned or when requirements change.

  • Must have intermediate computer skills to use a computer with Windows 10 higher and is familiar with MS Word and Excel

Work Environment

Noise in the environment is usually moderate to loud.  There is risk of exposure to x-ray radiation and harmful chemicals.  Safety procedures must be followed at all times.

 

Salary: In accordance with California law, the expected annual base salary range for this position is between $53,095-$57,713.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
