Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience communicating results with clients.
The work includes Hazardous Waste (HW) duties as described below. The successful candidate must be able to begin work on or about February 12th, 2024.Hazardous Waste Duties HW duties will include, but are not limited to, collecting HW and non-HW; preparing HW containers for shipment and coordinate with transport/disposal contractors for turn in and pick up of HW and HW services; conducting O&M of HW accumulation sites; consolidating and segregating waste streams; recycling; sampling and analysis of waste streams; entering required waste data into the Air Force's database system (i.e., EESOH-MIS); tracking movement of all HW offsite using EESOH-MIS; preparing reports relating to HW management; characterizing and inventorying HW; recordkeeping; training; providing compliance inspections or audit support; and performing O&M of monitoring systems, as applicable. All activities will strictly adhere to Federal, state, and local HW regulations.Skills & Experience:* Current DOT - 49 CFR 172.704 "HazMat Employee" to include HW Operations, 40 hours initial, and 3-year refresher.* Current RCRA annual HW Refresher training* OSHA HAZWOPER, 40-hour certificate and 8-hr refresher* Two (2) years' experience in HW operations including packaging, labeling, profiling, storing, transporting, and manifesting requirements.* Working knowledge of State HW management regulations and DOT hazardous materials regulations* Basic working knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems or equivalent and MS Office software packages or equivalent* Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs* Heavy equipment operation (forklift) - preferred but not required.* Possess or be capable of obtaining a valid commercial driver's license with the "H" endorsement.* Possess or be capable of obtaining a Federal Access Card (FAC).EQM IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EEO) F/M/Disabled/VetsThis Employer Participates in E-Verify
