The Role
Our Consulting Practice is looking for a Senior Director, Communication Media & Technology(CMT) with a focus on having provided Consulting Advisory Services to Technology Industry clients. We're looking for someone who is known for their ability to develop client relationships through their professional network and foster partnerships with account teams who have established relationships. This individual will actively collaborate with other related competencies such as Customer Experience, Data & Analytics, AI, Cloud Computing, Digital Engineering to solve client problems and develop compelling & differentiated point of views. We're looking for an advisory consulting leader to join us as we grow our practice. At the Senior Director Level, this means driving cost effective end-to-end execution of consultant engagements, cultivating practice innovations, achieving financial targets (utilization, expenditures, revenue, margin), promoting Cognizant Consulting's vision & mission, and building high performing teams across the organization. Responsibilities:
* Serve as a Consulting Leader, bringing your areas of domain expertise within Telecom, Media and Technology clients, as we engineer modern businesses to improve everyday life.
* Own and develop a book of business and actively engage in business development efforts, often owning quota for accounts, and ensuring profitable growth for the practice and for Cognizant.
* Exercise quality assurance for engagements within your remit
* Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering based upon an expert understanding of such things as emerging market trends, client business direction, client requirements, evolving regulatory contexts and the feasibility of transformation goals.
* Establish and nurture relationships with cross-functional client executives and strive to serve as their trusted advisor.
Leverage industry expertise and market sensibilities to propose forward-leaning refinement or extension of Cognizant's Advisory Capabilities (offerings)
* Support and develop a long-term vision for the practice.
* Work with others to standardize consulting tools, methods, curricula, and career development requirements.
* Partner with recruitment to attract high caliber consulting talent and the creation of a strong talent pipeline.
* Mentor and coach consulting associates; lead people development and community-building activities
* Author thought leadership insights on behalf of the practice and advocates within Cognizant for the recognition of Consulting's contribution to Cognizant's profitability and market brand.
* Participate in industry panels and forums to promote Cognizant's capabilities; gather insights on emerging business needs, requirements, technology, and competitive challenges.
* Lead in the creation of robust IP repositories and knowledge-sharing strategies to enhance practice effectiveness and cross-practice community building and act as a visible and respected spokesperson for Cognizant's' Advisory Practice.
Qualifications:
* 15 + years of experience in deep domain or extensive cross-sector business management, including the creation and go-to-market (GTM) execution of practice offers (pricing, resourcing, marketing) in the Technology Industry.
* Demonstrated depth of sales experience within the Tech services Industry such as Oracle, Salesforce, Google, AWS, Fortive, Intel, Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, CISCO, etc.
* A background of extensive management consulting leadership as a practice leader, or business or solution developer
* A successful track record of setting and achieving engagement targets, controlling budgets, managing forecasts, and driving an organization of professional consultants in winning business and achieving financial targets.
* Possessing a robust network of contacts and presence in professional organizations and industry forums
* International experience supporting or driving global initiatives is a plus.
* Experience in building results-oriented, high-performing consulting teams or organizations recognized for excellence.

Travel is required.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 3/18/2024
The annual salary for this position is between $176,850.00 to $260,630.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
