QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the assisted living or other human services field preferred
- Current WI RN License
- Demonstrate the ability to make appropriate nursing judgement
- Process excellent interpersonal communication and teaching skills
- Ability to train Standard Precautions, First Aid and/or Medication Management; preferred but not required
- Ability to delegate tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Services
- Oversee the safety and well-being of the residents in accordance with the facilities philosophies and standards of care
- Represent the facility in the community, with family members and visitors as well as developing positive relations with residents
- Ensure a high degree of resident satisfaction while actively participating in providing service assistance and guidance for the residents within our facility and the community
Clinical Management
- Adhere to and implement facility clinical policies and procedures per DHS
- Assume on-call consultations as needed
- Participate in internal audits and develop correction plan as needed
- Assist with assessments related to function and physical status of resident upon admission, during changes in condition, medication management for the purpose of determining ability for self-administration, potential restraints (medication/psychotropics)
- Assist with oversight of individualized service plan (ISP) and changes in condition
- Medication management: oversight of medication storage, administration delegation, documentation, treatments, and delegated tasks
- Monitor that care will be provided with the best interest of the resident in mind to assure the prevention of complications and the highest possible function and quality of life of the individual
Supervising, Training, and Skills
- Lead by example, promote the facilities philosophy, nurture a climate of effective and respectful communication, and provide coaching for employees in collaboration with the Director as needed
- Motivate employees through the mentoring, training, and encouraging teamwork. Provide constructive feedback when identifying learning needs related to clinical performance, resident cares and services provided
- Assist with the training of employees in accordance with the residence policies and state and federal regulations by contributing to the clinical development of the care staff
- Provide delegation training as required per DHS 83. Responsible to maintain appropriate delegation documentation and oversight of tasks performed

SUPERVISION:
This position reports directly to the CEO and DOO.
TERMS AND COMPENSATION:
- Part-time 12 to 24 hours/week flex hours to cover all shifts.
- You may choose to terminate your employment with The Nest at any time. We request, in writing, a 60-day notice stating your last day of work.
- Employment with The Nest is considered on an “at-will” basis and The Nest may terminate at any time for any or no reason, provided termination does not violate any state or federal law.
