Construction Superintendent REPORT TO:Project Manager and Project Executive Roles & Responsibilities Description: The Superintendent role works closely in conjunction with the Project Manager to manage daily construction site activities to keep projects on schedule and on budget. This is role require full time travel. The project is based out of Austin, Texas. The responsibilities of this role are as follows: Supervision and direction of all onsite contractors/sub-contractors/suppliers etc. Develop site logistics plan for temporary conditions and maintain updated staging and logistics throughout project, including planning and coordination for final removal Conduct weekly coordination/scheduling meetings with subcontractors Produce and update a 3-Week Look Ahead Schedule for each onsite weekly coordination meeting Coordination and scheduling of project subcontractors and vendors to arrive on jobsite as required to maintain project schedule Oversee and direct self-performed trades, managing daily tasks, timesheets and monitoring of production and labor costs to allowable budget Manage receipt of direct purchase materials and services, collecting and coding delivery tickets and receipts. Ensure tickets are turned in to the office for processing of invoices Enforce safety compliance per company standards and OSHA requirements, including all required reporting and onsite safety meetings Prepare and submit daily reports through the Procore system Ensure SWPPP documents are current and maintained onsite Coordinate inspection requests/signoffs with Regulatory Officials Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of the Contract Documents, keeping current on all changes and RFI’s Review Subcontractors work for compliance with Contract Documents and Quality Control Plan Maintain professional relations and communications with all involved in the project Maintain and enforce jobsite cleanliness, including holding subcontractors responsible for daily cleanup of their work. Maintain project schedule and ensure the projects achieve Substantial Completion per Contract. Advise and work with Project Manager for any recovery efforts needed. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry-specific experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in industry OSHA 10 training Ability to work remotely and independently from corporate office in a jobsite environment, working virtually to interact with the office and with others working remotely. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software. Proficient use of Procore software Adaptability for introduction and implementation of new software and systems/templates for operational improvement and efficiency Travel as needed High degree of customer service and communication skills. This position requires frequent communication with all project stakeholders with exchange of reliable information in a timely fashion. Ability to operate standard office equipment and to maintain documentation and files for record retention and easy retrieval in a manner consistent with company standards and policies.
