Job Description
Atlas Building Group is seeking a strong, experienced and self-driven Traveling Superintendent to supervise daily activities of Retail Construction projects between $500,000 to $5 Million. Responsibilities include the following:
· Daily coordination of construction workers, contractors, subcontractors and equipment delivery.
· Complete all field project documentation including daily construction report, subcontractor meeting minutes, RFI’s, subcontractor tickets.
· Communicates efficiently with Project Manager on daily activities and scheduling, effectively tracks and documents all T&M issues, attends owner progress meetings and communicates professionally with all stakeholders of a project.
· Maintain high safety and quality standards in compliance with OSHA and ABG Policy
· Assists with project scheduling, material/equipment procurement, delivery of owner supplied materials, resolving issues and conflicts to maintain schedule.
· Maintains clean and organized work site and manages quality control through punchlist completion and project closeout.
· Travel is Required

The ideal candidate should possess 5-25 years as a retail superintendent in a general contracting capacity and be able to understand plans, specifications and phasing plans in order to build a schedule and execute the construction of a retail project within the allotted time frames in a profitable manner. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to develop and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders in a project. The success of the Superintendent will be gauged by ability to complete projects on time, in budget and while cultivating client relationships.
Requirements
· 10 Hour OSHA Training Completion
· Minimum 5 years of commercial contracting experience in retail market
· Detail oriented and computer/technology literate (MS office, Procore, etc)
· Have experience with new and open store remodels
· Ability to understand plans and specifications and construction document controls (RFI’s, etc.)
· Expert understanding of construction practices and methods
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Excellent personal organization and time management skills
· Ability to adopt and improve upon company practices and procedures
· Ability to work well individually and as a team member
· Strong ethical conviction
