McGillivray Construction Inc. is a General Contractor specializing in a broad spectrum of private and public commercial projects including public housing, law enforcement, industrial, OSHPD, DSA, retail, office and transportation. We are seeking an experienced, intelligent, tech-savvy and quality-focused individual to take on the role of Superintendent. The applicant must know how to build, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the construction industry. Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience, but we are willing to train the right person. This individual would need to perform the following duties:
1. Assist in processing and creating RFI – prioritizing RFI for architect, notifying Owner when late RFI response may result in delays to the project.
2. Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination and logging.
3. Ensure timeliness of all submittals and shop drawings – notifying Owner when late submittal response may result in delays to the project.
4. Accurately and continuously update the master drawing set and as-built plans
5. Maintain and update a current CPM schedule at the jobsite at the PM’s direction, suggest potential impacts/delays related to owner/architect changes.
6. Coordinate subcontractors’ work schedules at the Project Superintendent’s direction
7. Project schedule adherence and recommending where day(s) could be saved.
8. Assist in processing and estimate change orders obtaining and reviewing subcontractor change orders for accuracy. Prepare draft change orders.
9. Track T&M changes verify time and manpower, record in dailies.
10. Participation in and documentation of project coordination meetings.
11. Assist with subcontractor field coordination issues with other trades.
12. Quality control – Review and coordination of subcontractors’ field installations. Enforces and supports project quality assurance/quality control policies and practices.
13. Prepare inspection requests – ensure these are submitted on time in accordance with project.
14. Reviews and understands the implications of all subcontracts, contracts and contract documents and reports issues and exposure(s) to project management.
15. Enforces and supports project safety policies and practices. Monthly Safety Checklist, hold safety tail meeting with MCI personnel, collect subs safety meeting and log into dailies.
16. Review monthly billing submission and % complete each month.
17. Responds to inquiries from field personnel and/or subcontractors.
18. Recognizes and escalates appropriate problems to management for resolution.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
