Primary Responsibilities:
This newly created role is to support our Oregon Construction Services Leader and is instrumental in managing projects and a team that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
The primary duties of the Construction Project Manager include:
- Planning, directing, and overseeing all aspects of multi-discipline projects with a high degree of technical complexity. These projects typically have a construction value in between $10 - $100 million and involve a large project team with staff from multiple disciplines.
- Establish client relations and maintain involvement with marketing, contract negotiations, design, and production meetings.
- Directing and coordinating with multiple consultants, contractors, and agencies and will help to establish the sequencing of projects from proposals to completion.
- Conduct schematic design development and contract document work sessions at project sites, in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and disciplines.
- Responsible for coordinating staffing and staff workloads throughout project development to complete documents on schedule.
- Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller, and the Area Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures and execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans.
- Typically supervises large project staffs and acts as a mentor for less experienced construction managers and technical staff.
- The role will require maintaining one's professional engineering registration.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering or related field
- 15 years project management and roadway/bridge experience
- PE; or the ability to obtain a license within 6 months of employment.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of and practical experience with DOT policies and procedures is essential.
- Candidate should have excellent marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships in the respective business class discipline.
- Good communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
