Sr. Construction Manager, Self Perform Energy Projects

The primary duty of the Commercial Construction manager is to oversee project teams (in-house installers, subcontractors and vendors) and their performance.  A Construction Manager must be onsite every day when work is performed to manage the day-to-day performance of the team and to be well informed of all activities onsite. It is also the Construction manager responsibility to ensure that the project meets all quality standards and is conducted in a safe manner while reporting to the staff Construction Manager and assigned Project Manager focused on schedule and budget. Even with these secondary functions, this role should spend most of their time engaged in management duties as outlined above.

• 5+ years working experiencein construction management including record of stellar leadership, organizationand communication. Ability to travel for up to 3 weeks at a time
• Journeyman’s ElectricalLicense desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project and Excel
• Competent in conflict andcrisis management. Enjoys and thrives while learning and problem solving
• Consistently does the rightthing when no one is watching. Takes initiative and follows through on big andsmall projects
• Excellent organizational andtime-management skills. A team player with an ability to lead. Competent inconflict and crisis management. Conducts themselves in a professional manner onand off the clock
• OSHA 30 hours – CPR-firstaid preferred. Knowledge of safety standards set by NEC and NFPA70E. Experiencein equipment operation, certificate preferred (scissor lift)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force. Perform ladder climbing, wirepulling, and conduit pulling. Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25lbs. tool belt. Maintain a standing position for long periods while performingrepetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires. Work off ladders,man lifts or reach booms
