We are hiring a Construction Manager for our client in Taylor, TX.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- This position performs project management responsibilities on a engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction/construction management.
- Supervises the administration of budgets and schedules, manages performance, reports progress, and initiates action to assure program/project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and according to specifications.
- Resolves problems and coordinates the final turnover of the project to the customer. Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of a high-performance project team.
- Has overall responsibility for the compliance organizations’ execution, ensuring that project is delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety and to the Customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership of the project compliance functions including: Environmental, Safety & Health (ES and Quality & Performance Management.
- Customer Interface – communications directly with the Customer in all areas of responsibility.
- Establishes and implements management philosophy and procedures for the execution of assigned area to ensure consistency of approach.
- Establishes and implements staffing plans for assigned scope.
- Regularly monitors the progress of active projects and ensures that responsible actions are being taken by members of the project team. Reviews and approves critical plans and/or documents for assigned scope.
- Directs the activities of assigned staff and provides for proper delegation of management authority, responsibility, and accountability.
- Ensures that interdepartmental problems are resolved promptly and that an integrated approach is followed in the performance of the project.
- Reviews and approves the release of assigned scope cost estimates, schedules, major trends, and forecasts to customers. Also reviews and approves major changes or deviations to these control documents.
- Assists in developing plans, project execution plans, cost and schedule plans, contract formulation and management.
- Establishes an appropriate, integrated organizational structure, including off-project functional and specialist support.
- Defines and advertises roles, responsibilities and authorities to project team members/partners and the Customer to ensure scope completion in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule, and in conformance with the appropriate standards, specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements
- BS Degree or certifications relevant to architecture, fabrication, or construction
- At least 10 years of field experience in large infrastructure/ construction projects
- Experience with lump sum and reimbursable projects.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in contracts/subcontracts formulation, risk analysis, negotiations, and implementation including:
- Knowledge of project insurance issues/options.
- Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups.
- PM experience with strong compliance activities with related departments such as : Environmental, Safety & Health (ES and Quality & Performance Management.
- Experience establishing and implementing procedures for the execution of assigned area such as staffing plans for assigned scope.
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent presentation & communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with quality deliverables, managing multiple projects at the same time
- Self-initiative and at the same time collaborative team player
- Having strong ownership and having a proactive attitude
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-ups, strong commitment to results
- Analytical thinking and demonstrated ability to solve problems

- Related certifications
- Experience in high-tech (semiconductor) product projects
- Experience in overseas/domestic EPC project experience
- Experience in industrial and factory projects
- International and multicultural experience a plus
- Fluent Korean speaking and writing is a plus
