Construction Management Intern

Overview

H&K's Structures Division is staffed by well-trained, experienced and dedicated individuals involved in the design and construction of MSE structures and earth retention systems. Our focus is in the design and installation of commercial segmental block retaining walls, reinforced slopes, mechanically anchored structures and shotcrete. The Structures Division provides initial evaluation, accurate project cost estimates, field supervision and oversight, full-service project management and cost engineering.

 

 

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Construction Intern to support our Structures Division on a variety of projects in Eastern Pennsylvania. The individual will learn the profession as duties are performed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

• Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Assist project managers and engineers with various tasks.
• Draft details and make minor ACAD revisions.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or a senior level team member.
• Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation.
• Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently enrolled in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or Planning at an accredited University or College; minimum of 2 years of coursework completed.
• College level engineering courses in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficiency with Internet Explorer, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• CADD experience is preferred.
