We have openings primarily located in central Ohio such as the following: Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Youngstown, OH; Columbus, OH; Dayton, OH; Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform construction materials testing (CMT) services on construction project sites.
- Candidate would work on construction projects as a quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspector.
- Perform field inspection and testing of construction materials including concrete, masonry, asphalt, soils, reinforcing steel, etc.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine contractor construction requirements.
- Prepare daily and other reports of contractor performance.
- Identify deficiencies and report to superiors and clients.
- Communicate with on-site personnel and engineering staff effectively and professionally.
- Follow all applicable Health & Safety policies and procedures
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Certifications such as ACI, NETCPP, NICET, ODOT, etc. is a plus
- Certifications are not required; but we are willing to pay or reimburse cost of some certifications
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Related Fields.
- Possess physical strength, stamina, and dexterity for repeatedly lifting and moving objects as much as 50 pounds, stooping, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with construction sites, construction practices a plus.
- Travel to project sites daily in company provided vehicle
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work extended and/or non-traditional work hours.
- Be able to drive company truck, pass drug test, MVR, and background check.
- Willing to grow and learn!
