Duties & Responsibilities

•  Perform construction administration and inspection services for the state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
• Complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for payment
• Review the contractor's schedule
• Labor compliance
• Coordinate 3rd party special material testing inspections
• Review and provide input on potential change order issues
• Maintain project records
• Manage project photographic records
• Verification of field surveys
• Maintain a daily report of all work site activities
• Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Requirements

• ODOT construction certification is required (example ODOT Inspector, CE1, Structures, Soil & Aggregate, etc.).
• In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have a least 5 years of construction related experience (experience with ODOT or Ohio Turnpike).
• Experience with transportation construction means/methods such as Concrete construction, site excavation, and grading, pipe installation, signage, striping, Hot Mix Asphalt Construction, temporary traffic control.
• A valid driver's license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel to various Ohio project areas as needed.
• Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management are preferred but not required.
