SalaryNatina is currently seeking a Construction Estimator to join our rapidly growing company. We provide a unique solution that is inspired by nature and driven by aesthetics that will change the way you see construction! As an Estimator for Natina, you’ll accurately estimate project costs and provide detailed bid proposals for a variety of civil construction projects, including transportation, utility, and public works projects. We are looking for a results driven, self-starter to join our estimating team.
What you’ll do as a Construction Estimator:
Read civil plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and requirements of the project bidding.
Collect and gather information that will be used to produce accurate project estimates for both production work and field work.
Analyze estimating history and implement pricing adjustments for new RFQ’s.
Oversee work progress, complete logs, and update supervisors about challenges.
Prepare and submit detailed estimates, including bid qualifications, terms & conditions.
Reconcile purchase orders with quotes and assist with analysis of reports and subcontracts.
Communicate regularly with team members regarding the status of project estimates.
Effectively communicate to contractors, engineers, and project designers.
Collaborate with the Operations Department to track and compare planned vs. actual time and cost results.
Create and maintain detailed system part modules of commonly priced bid items.
Initiate bidding process by calling on plan holders, tracking addendums, and following up on bids.
Manage projects in the CRM as they progress through stages from RFQ, to Bid Submitted and finally into Won status (when they are handed off to Operations).
Continuously log all communications & project updates with contractors, engineers, and project managers in CRM.

What you’ll bring to Natina:
You must have at least 5 years experience in construction estimating or related field and a high school diploma.
You will have a strong knowledge of reading and interpreting civil construction plans.
You are highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ideally have experience with a CRM.
It would be great if you have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar field.
Experience in estimating public works bids including Department of Transportations (DOTs) and city/county agency work would be a huge asset.
