Complaint Investigation Quality Technician 1
This position supports the Complaint Investigation process. This position is responsible for product receiving, decontamination, evaluation and root cause investigation of returned product complaints. The individual in this role is accountable for completing work tasks in accordance with policies and procedures. The position must be able to work with other departments and teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
90%) Perform medical device Complaint Investigations, including the following:
Perform root cause investigations, and product evaluation for customer complaints.
Document the results and conclusions of the investigation in accordance with policies and procedures within the complaint management system.
Decontaminate returned devices prior to it being routed through the complaint handling process.
Facilitate product Complaint Investigations by transferring devices returned for investigation.
Prepare and ship parts and product to other investigations sites, if required.
Ensure that the depth of the investigation is commensurate with the criticality of the complaint.
Continually track open and in process device Complaint Investigations.
Complete all required customer Complaint Investigations in an accurate, professional, and timely manner.
Provide documented evidence of investigation and any conclusions established because of the investigation actions.

EDUCATION:
Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent). A 2-year technical degree is preferred.
Licenses/ Certifications/ Competencies/ Experience
Competencies: Detail Oriented. Must have ability to work in a team environment and be organized. Must be able to read specifications. Experience with utilization of Pilgrim or TrackWise (preferred)
Physical Demands:
Weightlifting: Medium (5.1kg - 30kg)
Position: 50/50 sitting / standing
Repetitive Motion: Mostly computer use.
Chemical Exposure: Uses chemicals sometimes in a day if decontamination activities are performed.
Physical Risk (Personal Protective Equipment PPE): Daily use of PPE required, if decontamination activities are performed.
