Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Compensation Manager to join our growing People and Culture team! Under the direction of the Chief People Officer, this role will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and administering a comprehensive total rewards strategy and program for our firm. To expand, the Compensation Manager will assess the uniqueness of our culture and identify best-practices, innovative ideas and technology-enabled solutions that create a best-in-class team member experience and drive organizational results.

 

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, designs, implements, and administers a comprehensive rewards strategy and program
  • Manages the full-cycle base compensation program to include writing job descriptions, conducting benchmark surveys, and FLSA determination
  • Manages the full-cycle short- and long-term incentive compensation programs to include assisting with the stock program in a privately-held corporation
  • Conducts pay equity analyses and leads the efforts to ensure compliance with federal, state and/or local laws and regulations related to compensation and/or benefits
  • Assesses the strategic effectiveness of current programs in achieving organizational objectives; identifies best practices and benchmarks; and develops recommendations for modifications to align to organizational strategy and business goals
  • Plans and directs the implementation and administration of all benefit plans including annual open enrollment efforts
  • Partners with HR and leadership on appropriate total reward packages to recruit and retain talent
  • Handles all Affordable Care Act reporting and keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting benefit plans and ensures company benefit plans and practices follow external regulatory requirements
  • Works with the Communications team to develop and coordinate communication strategies and activities designed to educate and inform employees about total rewards
  • Manages performance management and rewards and recognition programs for the company
  • Prepares annual budget for total rewards and manages expenditures related to benefit programs
  • Serves as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding all benefit and compensation related matters
  • Evaluates the compensation landscape to understand and learn from best practices through benchmarking, industry research and employment trends, tracks legislation, informs leadership and makes recommendations
  • Supports all compensation planning processes in collaboration with the People and Culture team.
  • Supports the development and integration of new and/or existing rewards programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective
  • Develops internal operating procedures and controls for the administering and managing of compensation and benefits programs
  • Identifies metrics that assess the effectiveness of ongoing Total Rewards programs and new initiatives
  • Complete special projects, as assigned

 

This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Employee Recognition) including experience developing a total rewards program
  • Previous experience with Compensation and Benefits modules - working with Paylocity and/or Cornerstone is a plus
  • Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to Total Rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.)
  • CCP, CBP, CEBS certifications preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through processes, identify and implement process improvements, and resolve complex matters
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational/prioritization skills with an ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with a high attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel expert, and working knowledge of Smartsheets highly desired
  • Self-starter with the ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess proven operational, interpersonal, project management, vendor management and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality

The base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000-$127,000, plus benefits and bonus. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys. The base pay that is actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
