Qualcomms Export and Sanctions Compliance (ESC) department is seeking a Senior Department Support/Project Assistant. The candidate will support management in tracking multiple internal projects, support development and dissemination of the departments communications, schedules, and other administrative duties. The candidate is expected to multitask, work under deadlines, prioritize projects, report status to management, be meticulous, detailed oriented, able to work independently and highly organized. The candidate will be a member of a global Export and Sanctions Compliance team that supports multiple cross-functional workstreams at Qualcomm.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist with updating and maintaining department communications and processes including web pages and shared sites, trainings, audits, team calendars, billings, travel, and expense reports.
Coordinate meetings, teleconferences, and department events and activities as needed.
Engage with ESC personnel to gather and compile department reporting and metrics, maintain records, and plan out repositories.
Develop, track, and maintain advanced Power Point presentations, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and Visio flowcharts.
Engage with company personnel at varied organizational levels to follow-up and track information required for reports, meeting briefs, presentations, and projects for management and executives.
Support company businesses, partners and suppliers and relevant processes to meet ESCs program elements.
Provide support on multiple, time-sensitive projects, engage with appropriate stakeholders and update management with status on a timely basis.
Support various team initiatives assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work at detailed level, in an organized manner, and under pressure with frequent interruptions while displaying sound judgment.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Teams, OneNote etc.) and able to navigate various Web-based tools including ERP systems, SharePoint, Salesforce.
Ability to work independently and support projects with multiple ESC managers and groups.
Ability to work overtime with flexible schedule to support global projects and team members.
Great reading, written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four or more years of experience as Department Support/project assistant.
Working industry experience in semiconductor, telecommunications, and information security or other high technology company experience.
Basic knowledge of export regulations, international trade, legal or contracts.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in International Business, Business Administration or equivalent professional certificate or experience.
Reason for Request:
Remote/Hybrid:
o Required to be in San Diego office for periodic meetings, as needed to provide dept. support to team and events, manage office files or other.
o Schedule may vary at times as this is a role supporting a global team. Periodic meetings start early am and then there may be occasional later meetings.
Potential to extend or convert to FTE.
