Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and select appropriate venues for events
  • Identify and contact potential guest speakers
  • Handle event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and implementing plans
  • Coordinate with CX Council team to ensure events are successful
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers
  • Develop and manage event timelines
  • Monitor event progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Prepare event reports, including budget summaries and guest feedback
  • Maintain a database of event information, guest lists, and contact lists
  • Manage event promotion, including creating and distributing marketing materials

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, business or related field. Work experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Experience in event planning and management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various events around the US & Europe
  • Knowledge of customer experience (CX) topics is a plus
  • Passion for business networking is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational and problem solving skills

Skills Requirement/Competencies

  • Project management and event planning skills
  • Result orientation; proven track record of getting things done effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to balance competing opinions and priorities.
  • Presentation skills; written and verbal communication skills.
  • Amenable to work on multiple / changing shifts and on hybrid work set-up
  • Availability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week
