Hourly Rate: $21.12
Position Summary:
Full-time position available for our Maternity Support Services Program in Lynnwood, Washington. This position requires that applicant travel to Everett and Lynnwood. Must have access to an insured vehicle, and be able to make home visits. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage time, resources, and client caseload efficiently. Under the direction of a RN & Social Worker, may follow up on clients in their homes and deliver basic health messages, and ensure that utilization of medical care and other community resources are met.
Education/Requirements:
- High School diploma and one year of health and/or social services experience working with the childbearing family required.
- Bilingual verbal & written in English/Spanish required.
- Current CPR certification required

- Being part of the local community: meaning the CHW reflects the linguistic, ethnic, cultural and socio-economic characteristics of the community
- Having experience with the target population in the community
- Demonstrating the ability to be trusted to work independently and as part of the MSS team
- Having a clear understanding of the federal, state and community resources available
- Possessing the ability to conduct reliable education and outreach in the community
- Knowing when, why and how to refer to the MSS professional team members appropriately
- Agreeing to meet the needs of the clients, by providing unbiased and accurate education and/or referral(s), even if the clients’ needs might be in conflict with the personal viewpoint/belief system of the CHW.
