What You Will Do:
- Craft and implement strategic goals for community and Economic Development.
- Lead dynamic community development activities, fostering partnerships to tackle key issues.
- Collaborate closely with diverse partners, both governmental and non-governmental, alongside our Policy Division team.
- Oversee contract preparation and grant application processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Deliver engaging presentations and facilitate discussions on vital community and Economic Development topics.
- Serve as a liaison with clients and external agencies, representing Lane County in various committees and events.
Where You'll Work:
- Based in the vibrant city of Eugene, Oregon, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model allowing up to 70% telework.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Analyze, develop, and improve programs and procedures.
- Design outreach strategies for equitable access.
- Supervise a dedicated team.
- Navigate federal and state legislation and funding opportunities.
- Administer program budgets and operations.
- Undertake other essential tasks aligned with your role.

About the Division
The Policy Division, within the County Administration department, is a dynamic team that includes Housing, Climate Change, Community Resilience and Recovery, Community & Economic Development, American Rescue Plan Management, and Intergovernmental Relations. The Community & Economic Development Manager is a valuable and critical member of this team.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm, evenings and weekends as needed.

Training:
Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience:
Five years of progressively responsible experience related to area assigned, including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Licensing Requirements:
- Oregon Driver's License.
- Professional licensure or certification related to the area assigned.
