We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated individuals interested in the following roles:
- 911 Dispatcher
- Call Taker
- Teletype Operator
Responsibilities:
- Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Gather essential information and details from callers to assess the nature of the situation accurately.
- Remain calm and composed while providing clear and concise instructions or assistance to callers.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency response units, such as police, fire, or medical personnel, to the location of incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing communications.
- Operate teletype systems to receive and transmit messages between agencies and departments.
- Coordinate with other dispatchers and agencies to ensure effective response and resource allocation.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for handling various types of emergencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a responsible and ethical manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and technology.
- Familiarity with radio systems and dispatching equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a 911 Dispatcher, Call Taker, or Teletype Operator.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols.
- Certification or training in emergency telecommunications.
