The City presents an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to engage in content and strategic messaging within local government, specifically with the Bothell Community.
What will you do in this position?
- Utilize different modes of communications strategy and messaging to tell an inspiring and colorful story of Bothell’s identity and unique brand.
- Help lead City's cross-departmental communications engagement team to efficiently plan and deliver accurate, relevant, timely, clear and engaging information to the Bothell community.
- Equip and train staff with useful communications tools, flexible templates and guidelines to help ensure the right type and level of community engagement is woven throughout all city decision-making.
- Implement recently developed community engagement toolkit.
- Work together with the Bothell Community and Departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships.
- Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
- Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
