Description
The Communications and Marketing Specialist is responsible for facilitating effective and consistent internal and external communication for St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing high-quality healthcare to Orange County's most vulnerable families. Duties include developing internal communications such as our Daily Huddle Announcements and a monthly Caregiver Newsletter both designed to ensure our teams are well informed and engaged in our values-based work. Manage the organization's brand, ensuring adherence to our style guide resulting in a consistent representation of our health center throughout the community. Work with individuals and teams across our organization to help them leverage communication and Marketing to achieve their short and long-term goals.
Essential Job Functions include:
- Develop, produce, and distribute a daily huddle communication and monthly caregiver newsletter that reflects and promotes our Mission and Values. The communication should be error free, relevant, attractive, and engaging.
- Ensure the SJNHC website is up-to-date and communicates critical information to our patients and the broader community.
- Deploy and manage the organization's brand in compliance with our brand /style guide.
- Support communication strategies advancing the strategic goals and objectives of SJNHC including supporting special internal and externally focused events and advocacy activities.
- Receive department level requests for marketing and communication support. In partnership with supervisor, prioritize these requests. Collaborate with requesting departments to determine objectives and best options for achieving the objectives. Support department through deployment of agreed upon strategy.
- Develop, maintain and distribute patient focused forms and communication tools, including the patient registration packet, community resources lists, caregiver business cards, organizational stationary, and facility signage.
- Maintain the organization's social media presence.
- Produce a SJNHC annual report to the community.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelors' Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar field is required.
Language:
Strong oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English, without the assistance of an interpreter is required.
Experience:
One to two years of experience in corporate communications or marketing is preferred.
